Perfect combo

I may have found the perfect combination: FM3a + Voigtlaender 40mm Ultron. I think I might as well weld it on.

Difficult to argue with that. I haven't tried the Ultron, but 40mm is a favourite focal length of mine and the FM3a is a truly excellent camera.

I'm sure that's a nice rig! I use a similar pancake, the Nikkor 45/2.8P with a FM2N and an F6, love it.

I have to try that 40mm one day.

Nice bit of kit, slr wise I used to like a Pentax Lx slr with 40/2.8 pancake

No problem with that statement at all.
The Ultron 40/2 is a *very* nice lens.

I sold mine to fund other camera purchase,
certainly not because of the quality.

I think the 40mm is larger than the Nikkor 45mm pancake. I'd love the Nikkor for my FM2, but can't justify the cost.

Just bought a 24mm AF-D for use on my FM2, F3HP, and D300. So far I'm loving it!

Totally off topic--
paulfish, just read your new to me clarification "Locust, dummy, not Mulberry". Couldn't stop laughing out loud. Yes, I know which is which. Have crossed them both hundreds of times on the way to Birmingham. Very curious as to what brought on this clarification.
