Phew... I'm loaded

After a few minutes of sweating bullets inside the walk-in closet, the Alden 74 is now loaded and locked. Woohoo.

Thanks for the copy of the instructions, Rover.

I've loaded two spent canisters (which my friendly local lab gave me by the bagful :) ) with APX 100. The reusable Adorama cassettes looked kinda flimsy to me.

Taking my kids to their school fair tomorrow, and will keep my fingers crossed.

Guys (you know who YOU are), now it's your turn ;)

BTW, I bought a roll of Bogen film splicing tape (I couldn't find a source for 3M splicing tape) from B&H. In case you're thinking about it, don't bother. It's just clear scotch tape.

Congrats, Ray! The Alden 74 is my favorite bulk loader. I have several, all different models. BTW, I have the reusable cannisters, both the plastic screw/twist tops and the metal ones. I prefer the plastic, but the metal ones work great too.

I have one of these loaders with another one coming in the mail but no film yet. I need to find a good source for Neopan 400... I'm looking forward to this! :)

Am I the only one who clicked on the link expecting the beginning of a drunken debauchery story?

:)

Hi, I'm searching for the Alden 74 instructions, does anyone have them, that they could email me a copy ?

Many thanks.

Watson Film Loader for me...
I also use Kalt (name brand) cassettes...the caps snap in tight and I haven't had any problems...
As for tape for rolling film...3M Masking Tape from the local hardware store...:)
