Photo 13 Germany

Hi,

I have been recommended Photo13 in Germany for mail-in film development. I seem to have found 2 (discounting the one in Switzerland) labs with the same name. One is connected to macodirect and the other is this.

is it the same lab? Does anyone have any experience with them? Are there any recommended alternatives for labs in europe I could ship to from Turkey?

It is all the same lab, with branches in Switzerland and Germany - Macodirect are merely selling their vouchers/mail-in envelopes.

As Stuttgart is tax free within the EU while Zürich is not, there is not much point for people in the EU to use the Swiss branch so I generally recommend the former - in your case you might want to figure out whether there are different customs regulations for services like film development between Turkey and EU respective Switzerland.

As far as quality goes, they are the oldest professional Ektachrome lab in German language countries, and one of the best.

I use photostudio13 (the one you linked) as well since about a year for my 35, 120 and 4x5" film development - they are good. No scratches on film, no uneven development, no color shifts and within expected time frame.

Macodirect is a different vendor - online shop, not a lab. They carry lot of nice analog stuff 🙂
