Recently my PC was infected with sypware after visiting and email corresponding with www.rangefinderforum.com Should this occur to you it can be remedied with Spybot, a free (for now) anti-sypware program that works very well.

Nothing here either. I checked with the latest version of ad-aware after looking at RFF with both IE and FF.

My M5s need red dots!
I don't think Jorge would add spyware in the websites he runs.
BTW, I use Netscape on Macintosh computers.

there is always some spyware on my pc but I can't blame rff as I visit a lot of sites each session. I downloaded Spybot after reading about it somewhere. I think PC Mag. and it does the job.

I honestly doubt he got that spyware from here, and mainly after reading some other post in that thread I'm starting to doubt even from his intentions.
A good combo I use at work (around 30% of my time is spent cleaning users' computers) is spybot+adaware+cwshredder+hijackthis!
Should you ever have some serious spyware problem, a great site to go it www.computercops.biz

I just ran the latest versions of Spybot & Ad-aware and it turned up nothing from this site. Will post the same message on photo.net.

besides adaware & spybot , i use spywareblaster. it claims to head off any spyware not allowing it to download in the first place.
it seems to work very well.

Folk, I can guarantee that no spyware is originating from rangefinderforum.com . It is my own server, hosted by me ,nobody else has access to it and its running solaris with apache. Not to mention you canot even telnet to the server. Only console logoins are allowed and its at my own location where nobody else is.
As far as emails go, you wont get an email from rff unless your a member. And rarely does an email go out from rff.
On the other hand, your more than welcome to visit and participate in a forum dedicated to rangefinder cameras only.
Thanks,
JT
