this thread is for posting books, articles, essays, websites, blogs, etc. that are not exactly OF photographs, but rather ON photography. they sort of get lost in the "latest additions" thread.

if a book of photos has a particularly good essay or accompanying text, that's fine too.

it's probably a good idea to keep technical books out of this. maybe another thread?

"On Being a Photographer: A Practical Guide" David Hurn & Bill Jay
 
Burning with Desire by Geoffrey Batchen is the most interesting and engaging one I have yet found. Each Wild Idea is also a good read.
