I'm new to Lightroom but would like to try out working with photoraw from Lightroom.

1) Is it possible to get the plugin to work with Lightroom - if yes, then how?
2) I can get the photoraw to work as an external application - sort of. I can be in develop mode with an .erf file and open photoraw from within lightroom, however the picture is not transferred

I know Lightroom can work with .erf files, but would like to try to get one of the above two solutions to work.

All input much appreciated,
thanks

I will never understand why people try to embed a raw converter in a raw converter.
I doubt it will work because photoraw is quite old and the plugin capability of Lightroom is brand new. Lightroom can not embed a plugin for photoshop. It is a specific plugin mechanism.

Can you tell why you want to open the ERFs in Photoraw from within Lightroom? The only reason I can imagine is that you prefer the 'look' of the ERFs in Photoraw which is hard to reproduce in LR. Apart from that LR is far superior in every aspect to Photoraw.

Output and user interface; LR looks like a web page and I'm always worrying commercials will soon pop up ;) Photoraw on the other hand has this very stylish Word Perfect 5.2 air to it

Hello,

I have not (yet) tested lightroom. Are there also given lens profiles for correction the Vignetting like "special"-menue in PhotoRaw?

Thanks
R

You can adjust vignettig correction with two sliders and save these settings as individual profiles. That pretty much 'replaces' the Photoraw feature.

Thank you Michael!

Is there anybody sharing his individual profiles, only to get an idea?
