Not that it is any big deal, but I have to admit to the sin of pride. I took some photos of the local spaghetti dinner that the Knights of Columbus puts on annually to benefit "The ARC" which is a foundation that assists people with mental retardation. Anyway, the local newspaper is apparently going to run a few of them. Makes me happy.

Here's the link - sorry that these were not taken with a rangefinder, guys! I used my trusty Canon T60, 50mm f1.4, Vivitar 2x focussing macro adapter, and Vivitar HV285 flash with Kodak Gold 200 film:

Anyway, pride goeth before a fall, so I'll try to avoid crowing too much. I'm just happy to be able to help these great causes AND get my photos noticed.

Best Regards,

Congratualtions ! - always nice to get a bit of "focus" and when it is for a good cause like that - there is no reason to be shy ;) hold your head up proud...!

Super, this is twice for you now. You are on your way to becoming the official photographer of Wilson, NC.

Thanks, guys! I am having a lot of fun, almost seems like I should not also be able to be recognized - you know? One or the other...that's the way life goes, right? Or something like that.

Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

Nice work, Bill! ARC is a good cause, we've donated household items to them over the years. Your photos are a good record of the event, glad to see you getting some 'exposure'!

Update - here is the newspaper story as it appeared in yesterday's newspaper. I got my first photo credit in print, guys! I have to tell you, I'm beaming from ear to ear. I know I should not be so proud, this is not a major accomplishment, people do it for a living who are far better at it than I am, but I can't help it, I feel great!

Thanks for all your kind words, too. Real shot in the arm for my ego!

Best Regards,

Congratulations, Bill! And a worthy cause, too...
Very nice - and there's nothing wrong with feeling good about it :)
