The photographer came home from a tour in Vietnam. He put the negatives in storage. He pulled them out 40 odd years later. Here are a few scanned. I think many are great.

Quite amazing. Powerful images. Although I am English, the war in Vietnam was the first TV I remember. Nightly BBC news reports with daily casualty lists and near real time film reports. The poor man must have found it a traumatic experience to view them again. A 'wonderful' record of a dreadful time.

Thank you so much for the link. The memories of Life magazine photos from the late '60s come flooding back...I had a high draft number so I didn't confront the choice of going to Vietnam or going to jail (or Canada). The photographs convey a moving sense of immediacy. I wonder what happened to all those people...
