So, I received Magnum weekly email... First of all, I learned what they don't want gifted photographers, but professional and they acting on selection like bunch of bureaucrats. No wonder Vivian out sell most of them...
But I found worth of reading what Gueorgui Pinkhassov has to say about iPhone photography.
Many messages in this article. One is to tell professional photographers to get lost. Another how great is Instagram. (Most crappy GUI I ever seen).
Some of his mobile phones photos are obviously good for me, but here is one big technical aspect I have noticed.
Prior to this, years ago I have discussion with photog who was at the top of 500pix and recently with one Leica and photography expert on LUF.
Both were against of SOOC images. I never get this, I like to get it right and SOOC and in the article Pinkhassov came to same conclusion, it seems:
To me it is 100% applicable for any digital camera photography. SOOC is good if you are good enough. IMO.
