Just had my confirmation from Fuji for the Platinum Service Registration.

Some of the benefits are:

"If you need to contact FUJIFILM for any query relating to your new camera, please email our dedicated X100 address at Fuji UK and receive a guaranteed response within one business hour. Alternatively you can call our helpline (Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 excluding public holidays).

Other benefits of the X100 platinum service include fast tracked servicing at our specialist service centre or a while you wait service for when time is really short.

We recommend you print this email and keep it safe for your own records and please remember to retain your original receipt as it will be required in the event of a warranty claim.

I got mine the other day in London and the dealer registered it straight away online. He told me that the registration can only be done by the dealer and I presume (but am not sure) that they have to be fuji dealers
 
I have to say that Fuji's service (in the UK) has been brilliant. I had a wonky viewfinder (i.e. The EVF frame lines twisted) and sent it off for repair. After a load of communications (didn't want to let my camera go without some heavy reassurance!) Posted Wednesday, fixed Thursday, arrived back with me Friday!

Just been playing with the camera some more and the lack of a distracting OVF frame is so much better! Everything is level and lines up now, whereas before I was having to think about it far too much. Yeah it's not the best optical finder ever, and suffers some pincushion distortion, but I'm having a lot of fun with it :)

Now to get off the Internet and take some pictures!
