In order to get a good recommendation, you need to give us more information such as your budget, number of slides you plan to scan on a normal basis, intended output (web, print size, etc.).

I second that recommendation for a dedicated slide/negative scanner. I'll also add that you do want Digital ICE or some similar dust/scratch removal tool. I'm very happy with the Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 - almost all my film output on Filckr was scanned with this scanner. Having used this scanner a good bit, I would buy it used if it was low mileage/good condition.
