I love using the old LUMIX LC1 (which is same as the Digilux 2 by Leica). The AF macro setting with the Vario-Summicron set to 90mm works very well for me.

Raid, the skin tones are very natural, now I can see why Thorsten Overgaard used his Digilux 2 for so long. Great portrait camera!

Thank you Dave. I like the colors very much with this camera. I bought a back-up camera recently (for $200). It is a camera for sunlit scenes and not for dark bar events.

The noise is mushy.
I'm taking those at home with 5D and 50L on it.

I don"t see what you seem to be seeing.
It is unimportant anyways, as the camera is old and basic. This is a thread about fixed lens Leica compact cameras. You are missing the point here.

The light came through a glass part of the door, and it gave shiny points and reflections on her face. It was not the camera causing it.

Yes, that is quite obvious... There is no noise that I can see anywhere. Thorsten Overgaard made himself quite famous with his Digilux 2 and Leica R cameras. They are good enough for me!
The girls are such lovely young ladies now... growing way too fast! Or I am getting older way too fast.

Raid, do you have two of those Lumix cameras now?

Yes, I do. They are very difficult to find for sale. Nobody sells the LC1 or the Digilux 2.

Raid, I think you are on to something... a system that is excellent for both portraits and outside photography; affordable even with a backup camera; and small enough files to be a joy for processing. Not to mention three beautiful motifs around the house!

Do you have more portraits to share from home?

I don't see noise. I see some lovely portraits!
I've had 2 x LC1's and a Digilux 2. I sold the LC1's and kept the Digilux 2 (for the red dot I suppose
) but in all honesty the LC1 feels better in the hand.
Like many others I don't think it imagination, I think that there is something special about LC1/Digilux2 files.
