I've been thinking about spending money on a new lens for my M8. I got myself in such a muddle thinking about which one to get that I cancelled an order i'd made, and then did something quite spontaneous; this morning I bought a Konica Hexar AF, and an AE Prism for my long rested Mamiya 645.

Think I'll shoot some film....

Heh, same here, although with womewhat more humble equipment. I'm shooting more film than digital for the moment, and I like it.

I just made the jump to film too.....the digital age is getting boring.

I think more young people need to think like you :)

Film is good for cultivating creativity. More potential for creating something unique.

Yeah, I got my second Hexar AF a couple of weeks ago at a pretty good price. I was thinking of getting an Olympus E420 with the 25mm pancake lens but I like the look of film and I love my film cameras.

I've just boxed my M8, to be picked up tomorrow, I'm selling it.
Got fed up with the "hang ups" and battery going dead on me, while out skiing.
I'm back to my M6, loaded with Tri-X for my personal work, along with some other classic film cameras, I've even have 2 Razzle camera in order.
I'm also very tempted to get me a MP and M3:)

Still gonna use 1Ds III for assignment though....

I have never left film...the only digital camera I own is in the phone I use...
Tha last big dollar body I've bought was my F5...I plan on using it as long as I can feed it...
One of my daughter's friends was over the other night and she said that her mother was giving up on her digital camera and going to film...I just smiled a little...

I too have picked up my GSNs again, and have traded my oly e410 for a Hexar AF.

I'm tired of the viewfinders, tired of the dynamic range, tired of the lack of tonality in digital...

There is definitely a place for film, scanned an edited. It's just another sensor in the end, a far better one.
