Post Your Film Images Here

Yum too !
something rather Mystical, atmospheric about his presence ...

Thank you, Helen. I left the doctor's office yesterday and this fellow was on the escalator in front of me. I fumbled for my XA2 and was able to get a grab shot.

Love Eric's picture of you. It must have been wonderful to share photography with him.

Mark,

I too have a film image of this fountain...I believe this is part of Scripps College...my shot was most likely taken with a 4x5 field camera and a 6x7 Calumet c2 film back...film was either Velvia 50 or Tri-X...there was a time when I could freely walk the colleges and set up a 4x5 camera without anyone freaking out...Scripps actually bought some images for their brochures...

Hi nikon_sam:

I took my wife to an eye appt in Claremont, and knew it would take a while so I grabbed my C330f and just wandered the Pomona Colleges. I was not sure which college it was (now I know- thanks), but this scene was pretty nice, and the campus was mostly empty. This was done hand held. Here is another one from the same roll you might recognize. I may still have another shot or two to upload.

I like how she has twisted her legs together. I also like that they don't look at the camera.

Thank you, Pan. I was surprised that they didn't see me, or ignored me. I think the point has been reached that people no longer recognize a camera as a tool for taking pictures, or they no longer care about being photographed by an old-fashioned camera. The only things they take seriously are digital phones: these are much more dangerous.

Erik.

A friend let me play with his view camera. Very fun...and slow. I learned enough to make me want to try again.

Erik, I wish you are right but my experience is unfortunately the opposite. They don't take notice of someone walking around with a phone but, oh boy, if you point an old 1960s film camera towards them.

Yes, but the English* people is very conservative. In The Netherlands everybody runs after the latest toys. *) The same is true for the Polish and the Greek people.

I'm only joking, you know that.

Erik.

No worries Erik, I don't get offended easily :)
I plugged the old landline phone the other day and asked my 12y.o. daughter to call me to see if it works and she didn't know how to use it. Sometimes we forget how much our lives have changed in the last 20 years.

Anyway, I digress. Back to photography.
