Grain is a funny thing, it can enhance, and in this case it works for me. I have always, well especially when shooting 35mm, thought of it like fabric -denim vs say Marino wool. The Marino being 2 1/4 or larger. Sometimes you just prefer to wear denim!
On another note, your color and rendering here reminds me a bit of Agfa Vista 400 that I had a few rolls of a while back as Agfa was going out. I liked results I got using it.
