Thanks. I was with the family once in Montepulciano when we stayed in Sienna for ten days. Florence too, of course.

The first one is the Loggia del Mercato Nuovo in Florence. The second, I think, is the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Monteriggioni.

Nailed it! I knew it was one of the hill towns and Monteriggioni it was - I remember the wall around the town that they were charging people to go up for the views…

It is so bizarre for me seeing your photos. I’m used to remembering places I’ve seen. I got used to that a long time ago. But how can two people who have never met, been to all the same out-of-the-way places . . . ?
