Have you noticed that postal rates have gone through the roof, and insurance coverage has been removed?
In Canada, there used to be a "Small Packet Air" rate that came with $100 insurance. Well, that rate has gone up, and the insurance coverage is gone.
For something like a $200 camera, to track to Asia, would cost just over $75. That is just too much - who is going to pay 33% more for insured delivery?
Have you noticed that it is no longer economical to sell internationally and have to ship by mail?

Same in the US. I use to use the USPS Flat Rate Priority envelope a ton when it was $12 to ship anything up to 4lb internationally. Then it became $17 about a year ago and it was an impact. Then just the other day, it became $23 and now it's getting ridiculous.
