Hi everyone,

After a long time reading this threads and trying to choose the camera I would enter in the RF world...just decided to share my final choice: R-D1s!!
I´ve always worked with SLR and DSLR (most commonly the last one), but was never happy.Calling attention and overburden wasn´t my ideas of photograph. So, after 2 years calculating and planning the "transition", I´ve selled my whole equipament and bought (thanks to you all, at matsuiyastore) the R-D1s and Voigtlander´s 35mm 2.5 color skopar and Nokton 50mm 1.5.
Have received them yesterday and I´m very pleased.Haven´t tested nothing yet, but just looking to them makes me feel that I did the best choice ever!!!
Well, thanks for everyone that indirectly helped me decide.:D

Bruno

R-D1s, CV 35/2.5 PII, Nokton 50/1.5 was my first rangefinder-kit :) Good start !! And Welcome to RFF !!

Excellent choice - you won't regret buying an R-D1s nor would you regret buying it from matsuiyastore. Don't have those two specific lenses, but anecdotally, I've heard that they're good lenses. Good decision on the focal lengths -- I have a CV 35/1.2 (for low light shooting) and a ZM 50/2.

Check out my website's photo galleries; specifically, the Israel, Egypt and Petra galleries. All the color images were captured with an R-D1s.

Cheers!

Congrats Bruno......
You are truly blessed

I simply Adore my Rd1s
and my other Jewel the GRD2 :D

Hey, me too (R-D1, because there was no R-D1s yet.)
Although I have other lenses now in addition to those, I still love the feel of the R-D1 with the PII on it. It's like they were made for each other.
I'm sure that you will enjoy them.

Congratulations on getting your R-D1s kit and most of all I hope you'll enjoy taking pictures everywhere you go.

Congrats

Congrats

it's a cam to love!
When you look at my Gallery, you'll find photos of the 12mm and 28mm.
Maybe interesting for a future purchase; I really like that 12mm lens.
