Hi,

I've seen a Summar advertised for 75 pounds. Apparently has some very light surface scratches, cleaning marks. However, I've bought from the dealer before and their ratings seem conservative [the camera I bought was better in reality than in the description].

Would 75 pounds sound like a decent buy?

£75 is a bit high unless the lens has recently had a professional service but it's not an unusual price in the UK. I paid around €68 on German ebay for mine which is in similar condition but of course that was more of a gamble as it was from a private seller rather than a dealer with a reputation.

I'm tempted because non-FSU ltm mount lenses seem like gold-plated hen's teeth at the moment. I bought a Serenar -- private seller -- which turns out to be in terrible condition despite being advertised as in good nick. The refund on that will cover the Summar.

Oh well. Will keep an eye out.

I have a Leica IIIa w/ Summar 5cm/2 lens. It has a hood, and lots of filters and instruction manual. I would like to sell it for $185 complete.
here is a photo recently taken with it. The condition is very good but sold as is.
