I'm now looking for fast 50mm for my Leica M2. I browsed around Flickr and find many nice pictures with sonnar signature from this lens and quite interest in it. However, I don't have any clue about the price reference on this lens and would like to ask you guys how much it should be for LTM version.
Also do you think it's better to go for Nikon S screw with Leica M adapter?
In case that some day I might have a chance to pick up any S2 or SP in the future.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

$400 seems to sit in my head. One sold for $188 on ebay, but user condition.

I would go for a Leica mount lens. If you pick up a Nikon RF, chances are it will have a lens on it. The S-Mount Nikkors go for less money, but an Amedeo adapter will be more than the difference in cost.

I have owned my late model since the mid-70s. LTM. I have two bodies, one LTM & one M. The lens works perfectly on either body. An overbuilt classic with it's own individual character. $400 seems to be the middle ground price wise.

If you find one at $400 - you should buy it - they are hard to find in LTM and usually go for more than that!

It is a wonderful lens but don't forget about the Nikkor 50f2.0 which is lighter and just as good.
