Pricing for IId and Standard E (both black)

Hello all

Has anyone got recent prices for the following cameras?

I'm thinking of selling mine (but not sure yet). Part of the consideration is trying to set a price.

I've looked at keh.com and "Collectible Cameras (http://www.collectiblecameras.com/)", and the prices seem high.

Leica 1 Standard E black, nickel hardware, very nice condition. Ebay had a sale at $417 for chrome, no reasonable listings for black bodies.


Leica II Model D, black, nickel hardware, very nice condition. Collectible Cameras listing one at $600? Prices going from $280 to $750?

You might think of aiming 10 or 15 per cent lower than KEH. Of course, if you sell on eBay the bidding will decide.

Prices vary quite significantly depending on condition, reputation of seller, where the item is located and, most importantly, the quality of the photographs. Your best bet - unless you just want a quick sale and aren't too bothered about getting the best possible price - is to put them on ebay with really good photos. You will sometimes get a better price for a well used camera than for a pristine one if the pics are good and your description is fair and accurate. good luck, Simon
