Hi, I was wondering what happens if I print a color negative film thru a b&w positive (contact print of the color negative itself) that is just a picture of the blue (or green or red) of the color negative (imagine the blue alpha channel in photoshop)? Thanks

Sounds like it's worth an experiment. Contrast might be low - hard to say. How are you getting the positive on only one color channel? Ortho film?

Interesting, but you will may have to use filtration when you take 3 images for the same scene. Other wise, how would you know what colour to use on a scene? Each colour would require separation.

Yes, that's it. Also, I can always remove the b&w film after a small amount of time and continue the exposure with the color negative only (just to simulate lower opacity in photoshop). What matters is that the b&w positive must not be too contrasty.
