Oh, the delicious irony!

I definitely see where this guy is coming from, having endured many similar outrageous and obnoxious requests for free work.

Why some people think photographers should work for free (or for next to free) is beyond me. Cameras aren't free. Lenses aren't free. Film isn't free. Chemistry isn't free. Memory cards aren't free. Photoshop and Lightroom aren't free. Having a website designed and built isn't free. ASMP membership isn't free. Business cards aren't free. CODB (the Cost Of Doing Business) isn't free.

Would these same people get on the phone, call B&H, order a new Nikon D800e and ask B&H to send it to them for free? Or for a payment of $200?

Jeezuz! What's wrong with people?? :rolleyes:

It's not just "the economy," either. This kind of nonsense has been going since WAY before the economic meltdown of 2008.
