Hello,
I just bought a Jupiter-12 35/2.8 lens and found out one problem. I don't have at the moment m-adapter to bring out the 35mm framelines, but I have three different adapters for 50mm framelines. The problem is that when attached to any of these 50mm adapters the red mark which is supposed to be on top of the lens are in just the opposite side...if you look the lens from front of the camera the red mark and focusing scales are in 7 o'clock... And of course this means that when I look at the distance scale it is totally wrong. So the lens turns way too far... How to correct this? Could this be because of the 50mm adapter?

I have two Canon lenses that line up so that the focus marks line up at 2 o'clock with an M adapter. I pretty much just live with it and mentally have to tell myself to tilt the camera when checking the depth of field marks.

But the problem here is that the lens focuses incorrectly now... If I focus to let's say 2,2 meters the focus mark says that I have focused to 1,5 meters. If I put some tape between the adapter and lens the mark come closer to 12 o'clock and focus comes closer to this 2,2 meters...I don't know if the pictures are correctly focused or not, but it's impossible to know by f stop what areas are in focus because the chart is not showing right.

I have a J12 on a Leitz brand 35mm adapter ring and the red mark in the middle of the DOF chart lines up right at the top center like it's supposed to. Perhaps there is something wrong with your lens.
It shouldn't matter what M adapter you're using.

it's just hide and seek
I have just a Leitz 50mm adapter to use with all my FSU lenses. All, including the J-12, are a bit off-center with the lens' center-mark when attached to the adapter. The adapter itself however is right how it should be with the red mark in the 12 o'clock position.
