Well-known
Since putting a reversal film through my '33 Leica II with Cv Colour Scopar 35mm f 2.5 ... just good the slides are compared to my Minolta SRs Rokkor 35 mm f 1.8 .
Different , but in no way worse .
i know that my Zorki S and Fed 1 g '' black Leica '' - would provide equal results ...
it just seems awesome that these vintage cameras , irrespective of origin , can be compared not only with a 60s Minolta , but a Minolta 404 si with 50 f 1.7 ...
Also , a Kiev 3a / Zorki S / Fed 2 of 1957 is almost considered to be new compared to Russian cameras from the aerly 50s - or 40 s - yet there were few genuinely easy to use and inexpensive SLRs from 1957 ....
Sometimes the derivative nature and sheer quantity of these ex-USSR cameras seems to veil just how relevant they still were in 1957 ...
