Didn't see this covered recently, but anyone have any experience with these 2 methods? I found the Epson Raw much easier to use and it gave better results. What I mean by this is that there was less noise in the dark zones and edge sharpness seemed better. Is this even possible or am I just making adjustments differently and therefore getting different results? Are the two raw converters identical?

TIA,

Joel

I use PhotoRAW. Prefer its rendering especially for black and white eventhough the interface is clumsy and I would prefer bigger controls for the curve (the GUI elements are too small what makes precise adjustment tedious).

Then adjust in PhotoShop.

Me too, I love the B&W conversions of PhotoRAW, though I use Aperture 2 or Photoshop CS3 if I intend to work on color or other major editing...

which i'm finding gives me something more.
at the moment these two seem to give me the tools i need to then take the file to photoshop for final editing...
