Anyone got any comments on pushing the following to 3200?

Portra 800
Superia 800
Natura 1600

I don't have a lot of time to experiment. I did get a roll of Provia 400x out and pushed it to 1600. It could very well have been the meter in the camera + very tricky light (alleys) but most shots were underexposed by about 2/3 of a stop.

The main caveat is that Portra 800 is pricey, w/ no discount on 5-packs. Superia and Natura are pretty affordable.

I will be in a less than ideal environment (elements-wise and light-wise) but will have a few cameras with me. 2 for night.

Bessa-r + Canon 35/2
Minolta X700 + Rokkor 58/1.2

Thanks.

The only one of these I have pushed was Portra 800 and that only by one stop to 1600. Turned out just fine. But I rarely shoot Portra 800.

I do shoot a lot of Portra 400 and I have pushed that film to 3200. With the exception that the shadows are a little dark, it worked very well. The majority of this was 120 in the Pentax 645Nii.

Thanks. This is for Burning Man, so unfortunately I won't be able to process and experiment. I will probably go w/ a mix and match to be safe. My lab(s) only push 2 stops though. :-/
