Hello, all. Stumbled across a post saying to the effect that using continuous mode on an M8 while also using discrete mode could lead to shutter failure. The posts date back to 2010 and mentioned the possibility of a firmware fix to this. So, is this true?
Although I do use discrete mode, I never select continuous mode. If I want to shoot continuously I'll get my Canon 1D2 for that. My Leica serves a different purpose. Still, it is easy to accidentally switch into continuous mode and not realize it. So, again Was this ever really true? Is this STILL the case? Btw, my M8 is using firmware 2.005.
Thanks in advance.

That was fixed in 2.005 I think.

Yes 2.005 firmware update fixed this AFAIK. I only use discreet with the M8.2, even in C mode, but i'm in S mode generally so take what i say with a pinch of salt.
