I've got a $10 QL-17 that's in great shape overall, clean glass etc...I just installed a Wein cell, the shutter seems good.....
BUT the advance doesn't stop after a frame, it just cranks merrily along, all the way through a roll without stopping if I let it...
I'm guessing the guts of this camera are shot...damaged gears....?
Can I open it with mini screwdrivers and push something back in place, or otherwise fix it by poking around?
Are there online diagrams or repair techniques somewhere?
Nice little camera, if it worked ....

OK..you're talking about the little 1/8" silver gizmo that's spring loaded and can be pushed in, springing back...? It seems to move freely... doesn't seem involved in this problem...looks ok..
Thanks for suggestion and that repair link...I'll be back home in a week, will tear this thing open! There's a tale behind this camera...I'll tell it when I get the camera working!

....HOWEVER, give me a clue...how do the shutter ring and rewind crank get removed...just pry them gently off, like knobs on an old radio? Slide a skinny blade into the grooves and pry...doesn't look like a job for little screwdrivers or special tools...what's the trick?
