QL17 shutter won't cock

Help! First, my QL17 has issues advancing bulk film (but not with retail), and now the shutter won't cock consistently at all. Back in the day, when I thumbed the advance, it would drag the little red thing that told me if the shutter was cocked. Once it was cocked, it stayed red. Now, it doesn't hold once I complete the stroke. Pressing halfway still holds my meter reading, and every 50-ish advances I can get the shutter to stay cocked.

I get this feeling I should get a new QL17 GIII, but I'd like to repair this if I can. Either that or start saving for either a Leica, a Hassie, or a new bike.
