Question about R2A exposure display

Hello.
I am Korea Bessa R2A(mat black) user.
Now I have the question about R2A exposure display on view finder.

According to Bessa R2A manual(refer to attachment pic), there are two kind exposure display in the low light conditon.

1. Exposure time between 1 sec to 8 sec : the LED blinks "1" slowly

2. Under the range of exposure : the LED blinks "1" fast

The problem is my R2A never blinks the LED "1" slowly, but just the LED "1" tuens on in conditon of exposure time between 1 sec to 8 sec.( I tested it with stop watch)

What is the problem?

Dose your R2A blink the LED "1" slowly?

I don't understand why you need the stopwatch.

Have you tried (for example), setting the speed to 1/2000, ISO to 25 and putting the lens cap on?

What I have noticed. When the scene needs an exposure faster than 1/2000, 2000 blinks fast.

I will check the slow shuuter speed warning when I get home later, since I can't remember the specifics.

I am talk about "Aperture Priority Mode" (not manual mode like 1/2000)

I used stopwatch to measure time from shutter open to close when LED "1" turns on in the view finder.

When the "1" blinks fast the shutter speed is longer than 8 sec, according to the little test I just did counting one one thousand etc.....

I think my battery is running down because both the "1" and "2000" are illuminated as well as the metered speed.
