Nothing scientific here, just a quick down n' dirty comparison of my M240 vs Oly PenF for Monochrom images.
Don't take this too seriously, different lenses, different apertures etc etc. Leica was in body B&W jpeg/normal/yellow filter. Oly in body B&W jpeg/yellow filter/in body curves .

Lux 50 Asph on the Leica at about F4. Oly 17 1.8 on the PenF. Much deeper DOF obviously even though shot at 1.8 or 2. ISO 1000 for Leica, 400 for PenF (difference between using f2 and f4-ish)

I really like both, perhaps I could have backed off the S curve on the PenF but I like the look and the detail comes back v easily by moving the shadow slider if I want.
Never shot the Leica in jpeg B&W before! I heard things about the M9 being a good jpeg B&W shooter, but I really really like the Leica for it too.

Anyway, I'm thinking about using the Oly PenF as a dedicated B&W jpeg camera. And the Leica whenever I want..
