I bought a very cheap Retina Frame Finder off of eBay. The seller disclosed that there was some rust, but I didn't care much about cosmetics so I went ahead and purchased.
Unfortunately the worst of the rust was on the spring-steel strip on the bottom of the finder. When the finder frames are popped into a vertical position, the tension provided by this strip is all that holds them up, so this was not good.
I've attached an annotated pic showing my hack/repair using some metal scraps from a floppy disk. Clicking on the image will open the full-res version. I don't know how common this sort of thing is with these kinds of finders, but maybe it'll be useful to someone else.
