quick question/ Contax G lens

I don't have my G body any longer, and I was planning to sell the 45mm lens, but I notice that in turning the f stop ring, the stops don't line up with the index mark. I'd swear it was just fine when on the camera, but when off the camera?

I believe it has to be mounted - nothings wrong with your lens.

Yes, mounting the lens aligns the aperture ring.
