I bought the nokton that Butch was selling, and took it out for some exercise last night while on a Chinese New Years treasure hunt in SF Chinatown. Mostly the photos were just of my friends wandering around and hanging out, but I *love* this lens! Since Butch asked to see some photos with this kit, I'm posting the Flickr link:

Of course, an R-D1 with the nokton on it is not smaller than an FM3A with a 35/1.4 (maybe even a 50/1.2). A D70 or D200 with a VR lens is bigger, but the size advantage of the R-D1/Nokton combo is not that great. But size aside, I think this is a great kit for available light photography.
