Are you putting your eye right against the viewfinder? I find Bessa VFs go a little blurry when doing this, and it's what I need to do to see the widest framelines. If you move your eye away it becomes sharper but then it's hard to see the whole frameline.
This is what prevented me from buying the R4.
none of my framelines on the r4 are blurry. i don't need to smush my eye up to the vf to see the 21 frameline at all. to the best of my recollection it wasn't like that for the 35 on the r2. maybe it's the shape of the eye? i do wear contacts, fwiw...
I can see the lines but they're not crisp like the framelines I've seen in other RFs. I don't wear glasses but I find myself peeking around the corners to see the 40mm lines.
