I bought a new R3M from CQ about a year ago as a backup to my M6. When my M6 went down recently, I got a chance to use the Bessa. I love the big viewfinder and the camera seems solid.

However, after 3 rolls of film, I suddenly was unable to change the ISO easily. Eventually I got it adjusted but it seems that the wheel is not turning the ISO wheel when I pull up on it. I advanced the film past the leader with no problems then took 1 shot. When I next advanced the lever, it stopped partway as if the shutter was already cocked. Pressing the shutter did nothing at all. I thought it was a stuck shutter, but after getting the film back out, the shutter is in it's normal closed position. Nothing I have tried can get the film advance lever to budge.

Is this something I can resolve myself or will I have to have it repaired professionally? It's really disappointing as the camera is still basically new. I know I should have tested it thoroughly when it was still under warranty but it's too late to cry about that now. I had an R2A for years of rock-solid service and I'd just assumed the same of the R3M.

Any advice or help is appreciated. Thanks!
