We have a lot of rangefinder catagories but we don't have one for the Realist Stereo camera. I realize it's not made any more, but I still use one and make stereo cards for a Stereoscope.

Does anyone else out there use one?

How do you display the 3D photos?

As I said, I make stereo cards (black-and-white, just like the old-time cards) and view them with a stereoscope.

A stereoscopy category might be nice. Drop a PM to Jorge Toralba (sp?). He's the man in charge.

You can post them as stereo parallel pairs. And you don't need a stereo camera to take stereo pics. Take successive pictures while moving the camera from your right to left eye while keeping everything else the same.

Moving the camera is the old way of doing it. Anyway, the trick is how you display the 3d photos. That's the interesting part since taking the picture is quite straight forward.

I use a realist with slide film. I have experimented with using a dupe attachment to get prints for a stereoscope, but have been unsatisfied with the resolution.

tFelton, I assume you are making your b/w holmes cards in your own darkroom. Are there any tricks to printing stereo pairs needed in addition to standard darkroom printing (i.e. special masks, etc.)?
