Rangefinder DOF Tabs

Simple question about the DOF tabs on the rangefinder square in an M3. They are there for 50mm lenses, so, if I slap a goggled lens onto it, will they still be accuarte for f/16 & f/5.6, or does the goggling throw them off any?

You mean the DR Summicron ? I wouldn't trust them for close up focus.

I have had ok-ish result with the goggles on at ~0.6m with my DR. my M3 doesnt have tab though so cant help here

My original M3 Instruction manual makes no mention on which lens is used when discussing the tabs. I have 35mm Summicron RF and 135 2.8 RF and 50mm DR but never use the tabs anyway so I have never been concerned. Its very inventive but not always useful.-Dick
