Rangefinder lens case idea.

Available cases don't really suit the small Rangefinder lenses. They're all made for SLR or digital size. The cartoon light bulb popped over my head the other day and here's the simple result...

Every Ozzie home will have a collection of Stubbie Holders. Here's some of my favourites.

Pick a non fave. Find a bit of thick string, and one of those spring clasp things.
Poke holes around the top of the Stubbie Holder and make a draw-string arrangement with a holding clasp.

Bravo! Do you have any great idea on a cap for the CV LH-2 (Square Hood)? :D

I won't start a religous crusade, but Fosters really is export rubbish. Shame you guys are feed an idea of Aussie taste by the multi-nationals.

Okay, religous crusade.
Best Aus beer in stubbies: James Boags.

Best Aus on tap: Carlton Draught.
Best Aus Stout: Abbotsford Invalid Stout.
Best Aus Light: you must be joking.
Parochial Opinion: never drink anything from New South Wales or Queensland (lack of culture = bad beer), South Aus water is not suited to human consumption let alone beer making, and West Aus is another planet, therefore not to be trusted. the Teritories don't count.

I feel a photo series coming on: Carlton/Fitzroy beer consumption. It's winter, this calls for some ISO 400 for the strenuous indoor activity involved.

I guess seeing how so many think that Fosters is good tells you a lot about what most US beer is like. :D Of course, truth in posting requires that I admit I seldom drink alcoholic beverages. I used to think some of the Mexican beers (in Mexico, not US imported) were good. I liked both Dos Equis and Tecate. I am not sure why even imported beers aren't as good as foreign in country beers. Do they just get old, pasteurized, or what?

It's a religious argument, one with no end.

Fosters was never quite right to my taste buds, even as a kid before I was supposed to know what any beer tasted like. In much the same way, I don't mind Millers Draft, but can't stand Coors, and don't like Bud much.

This photog project might take a while. There's 77 pubs in Fitzroy, and over 100 in Carlton. Mind you, many have been "Gentrified" over the last few years.

Then there's the Great Beer Wars, of 91 to 99. Interstate rivals Lion Nathan Breweries (Fosters, the Dark Side) and Carlton United Breweries (may the Force be with you) started buying independent pubs in each other's turf - and changing all the taps. The repercussions have been enormous. Locals became refugees, wandering aimlessly into Bistros and Cafes. The horror, the horror.

I am not much of a beer person myself but my limited exposure to Australian beers during my studies in University of Sydney indicated that Coors is bad, Fosters tastes weird and Millers is nice. But my favourite is still Erdinger Weiss Bier. :D
