48 seconds in and well over before 49 seconds. I guess the roominess of the back seat is emphasised when it is so much larger than the camera. The rear seat room wouldn't look so good with that guy clutching a D3. And better not to distract anyone with a chrome M9-P. Anyone but us, that is.

the leica crown wet themselves whenever they see a leica in a commercial, and the excitment round here whenever a `star` is noted using same camera brand is awesome

I think it's B model. His index finger blocks the view but since I was ablazed by this discovery I looked that moment repeatedly in fullscreen mode and top deck looks flat so therefore b instaed of A.

Whenever I see ads or movie clips where a classic camera is present (think the movie Closer or The Expatriate) I get excited and my friends are looking at me like I've gone mad or something. Oh well.

I certainly don't know what they mean by including film camera there...Toyota customers aren't like rest? They use film cameras, swim under rain and share ice cream with a dog. But those really different want to be like everyone. That's the paradox

"They...share ice cream with a dog." That is a wonderfully amusing characterization of ads like this.

Yeah, everyone in commercials are "equally comfortable." Equally comfortable towing the space shuttle and snapping improbable shots with their FED.

Yeah, saw that ad tonight, but the camera flashes by so fast, I thought it might be something like a Minolta Hi-Matic. And the folks I know who drive Toyota cars are not the types you see in the commercial. Drudging their way through gridlock on the way to work and home again, so they can pay for their supposedly cool vehicle. Who would pay all that money for a Land Cruiser that looks like a full scale die-cast toy?

Unfortunately including the camera doesn't make the ad any more watchable.
Because of the trend in commercials since the 90s of flashing hundreds of half second frames at us per minute, it's difficult for me to watch ANY commercial. When are the commercials (especially for movies) going to pause for more than 250-500 milisecond on one shot? It's enough to cause headaches and reminds me of the subliminal messages they tried in the 50s. Couple the stacco machine-gun fire of the images with the usual loud explosions, (or some other sudden, electronic jarring sound) for each shot, and I hit mute as fast as possible for 90% of the commercials. At least the car ones usually have some calm music for a soundtrack.
