Drool away.
I gotta admit, even I think the Hansa Canon is easy on the eyes. In fact, I thought I might get two, one for a user, and the other as a spare. Not!

And totally off topic, but I feel sure of interest to most of the denizens here:

oftheherd,
You need to adjust your thinking a little bit. You really need a user for color film, a user for black & white, and one for the shelf.

Oh man! How could I forget color and b/w? Thanks for reminding me. Say, I wonder if I should pick up another so I have a spare for both color and b/w? Sort of makes sense when you think about it, doesn't it? Sure would be embarassed to get caught short.

Those are three very nice cameras! I have always been intrigued by the Compass, but have never seen one in person. It seems like a mechanical marvel, but perhaps not the most practical user with its use of film in a single 35mm frame format. The Nikon S is a nice camera too - basically a near copy of the Contax II. I'll make do with my Kiev 4a, which I think looks just as good and cost a hell of a lot less. The Hansa Canon is, of course, a Leica copy, but with a little more innovation with the popup viewfinder and front-mounted exposure counter. Great items for collectors.
I added a couple of these auctions, as well as the Hasselblad Lunar Surface camera auction, to my watch list. I am willing to start pool as to when my wife notices and questions my sanity.

I'll take a piece of that action!

Like Oldprof I've also always been intrigued by the Compass camera but also never seen one in real life. Looking at the prices they go for odds are that I never will
