Just wanted to recommend Kunee Instruments in Emmen. They did an excellent job on my Yashica 124G. Apart from cleaning and repairing both transport and shutter, they also adjusted the light meter - and put in a new battery. I didn't even ask them to perform these last two repairs. Really people who love their work. Found at www.kunee-instruments.nl.

Thanks, Jeroen!
I posted a question about repair possibilities in the Netherlands back when I first joined the forum, but no one specifically answered it (though Breakaway took a kind interest in my dilemma).
My Mat is in perfect working order, but the GX that I mentioned in that post could still use some help. Were the costs reasonable? I'll check out that website!

So sorry that we couldn't be of much help Lynn. Though it's not because of lack of interest, it's because repair services aren't really common anymore locally. I only know 1 camera shop in my region (SouthEast-Brabant) that still does repairs in-house. Everyone else sends it off to a facility like Jeroen mentioned.

Talens Photo used to be a chain with a lot of stores in Holland. Only a few remain, among them Delft, Gauda and Haarlem. They were very knowledgeable and helpful with Leica optics.
Apart from that I have good experience with Camtech. That was SLR, however, but service is great.

cheers, Rob.

A quick reply before I go to work: the repair of my 124G (gears and shutter cleaned and adjusted, meter adjusted, a few new parts) cost me a bit more than 80 euros plus some 10 euros shipping. They also repair and service Ricoh, Hasselblad, Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji, Pentax, Nikon, Rollei, Olympus and Konica.

Which sadly excludes Leica. Since the importer Odin went bankrupt the importership was moved to Transcontinenta, who just send anything on to Solms, at a considerable amount of Euro's. It is a bit less expensive to deal with Leica directly. But does anybody know of an independent repair facility? I don't.

Thanks Jeroen. Will keep in mind.
To add to the list (that is quite short anyway), Hans Klinkhamer (De Kamera, dekamera.nl) does all kind of repairs on mainly Rollei equipment, and he is convinceable to do it with other vintage gear like zeiss folders. He did a good job on my rolleicord.

I can't help with a repairer over there but CRR have an excellent reputation internationally for Leica repairs and I have just had first hand experience of them. They are very good and posting to the UK is relatively easy.
