red curtain platform IIIC on ebay

Two things I'd insist on if I was serious about bidding on it: the body serial number which the seller conveniently forgot to include and - assuming the ser. no. is in the correct range - the right of return if it's a replacement shutter and not a war-time original. I get the feeling that the seller is a little too coy. But, that's just me.

he does list the body serial number in the heading, though I agree I'd have liked a clear photo of it; and the top cover has the raised platform under the a/r lever which, though i suppose not as rare as the red curtains, puts the body into the correct series. The Summitar looks coated; if it were uncoated this would be quite a piece. As for the red curtains, if they are replacements I hope the material didn't come from MicroTools: their red curtain stock leaks light badly, I recently had to replace shutter curtains in 2 or 3 cameras that had been done in MicroTools red stock...
