Does anyone know where I can pick up a new one with the correct adhesive on the back?

Presumably Leica have them - anyone know how much, (presumably not nearly the same price as their lenses)

In the US, Leica is usually nice enough to provide one free of charge if you ask politely. Give it a try!

Oh, and I don't think you can get a "Leitz" one anymore - the current ones are all "Leica".

Thanks guys - I am in the UK - so I will give it a try with Leica and ask if they have a Leitz

Mine is chipped, (in the old fashioned sense), and while playing with it with a little Essence A, (french supremarket stuff), it fell off

Here in the states at least "Leitz" badges are not available any more - may be different in Europe, but they would be very old now - pre-1986 or so.
