Hello Buddies!

I’ve just bought a wonderful Zorki-1. The package arrived right now. The camera requires some reparation. I’ve read some repair guides, so I know vaguely what to do. But there’re some problems which aren’t explained in these manuals.
Could you help me?
1. Sometimes, but not always, the film winding mechanism leaves out a frame. I.e. the winding knob and the speed disc rotate twice until they stop.
2. The bottom base plate waggles. It can’t be lightsafe.
3. Rewinding the film the parts creak.
4. Shaking the camera I hear bop from inside.

Thank you in advance for your explanations!

I can give you some possible answers:

1. Does the shutter button stay down when this happens, then pop back up just as you start to wind? If so, there are 2 pins that engage the winding and these are not working properly. Why is a question that can probably only be answered by removing the film crate to see.

2. They often are slightly loose. It does not leak light unless it's loose in a vertical sense.

3. Are you sure this isn't just the sound of the film itself?

4. Possibly the film spool (especially when there's no film in) or the rewind knob also moves. May well be nothing to worry about.

Thanks! You have been right. I managed to repair all of mentioned bugs. Just one problem remained: the film counter is hard to set. A real pain. IMHO, the spring is too strong.
