just picked this up, found bits of film in the shutter curtains and it seems the slow speeds are off. Need to find someone in North America to do a CLA and shutter repair if needed. Help, please?

Since you're in Canada, I'd try Kindermann Canada first. They're great on older Leica repairs and have done some good work for me. Since the Reid is a virtual copy of a screw Leica, there's probably no reason why they can't fix that for you...Tony W (I remember when I was a kid peering at the Reids in the local camera store and thinking how they were impossible to tell apart from Leicas except for the name. They were beautifully built)

Be warned the Reid was re-engineered with imperial threaded screws which may be difficult to obtain if needed.
