Repairs

Is this the only option?
Ive written Gandy twice in three weeks and nothing.
Im reluctant to work with him as I just find it difficult to deal with the cost of repair being more than 65% of the price of a new one. I had my Canon F1 overhauled for $127 and its a far more difficult camera to work on takes much longer to do. The Bessa is just parts replacement. Its getting the parts is the problem.
Steven Gandy has the exclusive rights so he also has the monopoly...
Anyone else know of anyone else who can do this work or at least send me the parts?

Stephen Gandy is one of the good guys.

His website is a mess, he doesn't answer emails, and he's more than a little brusque.

But he comes through in the end.

nothing? How would you know the cost of a repair if I did not reply? I reply to emails if I get them.

I don't sell parts. I sell repairs to make sure the job is done properly. On top of that, exactly what is needed is often not clear until the tech has the camera apart. There are two authorized Cosina repair stations in the US, CameraQuest and PhotoVillage. Gray market sellers like B&H and Adorama are not sold parts or provided with factory backed repairs.

What is it that you need done?

Stephen
