I have put my quest for research into high gear now and need help on our planned book project.......

Looking for any assistance from anyone who has first hand accounts or know`s anyone who was working at the Leitz camera factory in 1945 (if anyone`s still alive) and or anyone who was with the US Army occupying forces stationed there from May 1945 to 1947 eras

when the Leica was RE-EXPORTED to the United States

Also looking for any stories from US Army Signal Corps Photographers and photos from their work.....does anyone on RFF have a realitive who was in the USASC who may have worked with a Leica in Postwar Germany or Japan?

This is all for planned book about the postwar histiory of Leitz and the Leica cameras bulit in that era, that I m putting together with another member of this website who`s interest is as great as mine and who want`s to print the truth about what happened at Leitz after May 1945 and how the postwar situation unfolded for the future of Leica it`s outlook and the restart of sales of the camera in America after WW2
