film was Neopan 100SS (as rated), developer was D76 1:1 @ for about 6 minutes @ 75 deg. F., Scanned with an epson v100 @ 16-bit greyscale, 2400dpi, to jpgs. 100% crops look good, bit of dust and scratches on some.

Your kids did those? how old are they? They did a good job on the processing and the portraits they did (of each other?) were REALLY nice. Tell them to get closer next time they photograph the cat! I thought it was cool to see the cat from your avatar in the backyard photos 🙂 I taught my son to process BW film when he was 6, but he has since lost interest in it. He's more interested in science than art now. I kinda wish he was still into taking pictures but at the same time I am relieved because I have suffered so much from my inability to earn a living from my work (and complete inability to get a job doing anything else). My son is 11 now.

Hi Chris

Hi Chris

Thanks very much. They're pre-teens, youngest is under 10. The thing with getting closer is if the cat is moving, it's really tough (even for me) to get a good focus and exposure with the manual cameras, even tough with the point and shoots in low light. I took a few of the portraitts and other photos, but they took most of them with SLRs, my son mainly used the F3 with 28/2.8, and my daughter, a Chinon with 50/1.9 lens. They've played around with the GSN, but somehow gravitate towards the SLRs right now.
